Rachel S. Reid began her love of photography in 2002, after receiving a point and shoot digital camera for Christmas, and wanting to learn how to use all of its features (and how to keep her batteries charged for more than 15 minutes!) It wasn't until 2005 that she decided to turn a fun hobby into a money making opportunity. With her mother, she took a photography course at the local community college. She has since upgraded to a Digital SLR camera and is also enrolled in the New York Institute of Photography, where she is on her way to earning a diploma in Professional Photography. She enjoys photographing both nature and people. She loves capturing "natural," candid moments, especially with children, over staged snapshots. Rachel also has a degree in Web Design, and hopes that by combining the two, it will bring a new opportunity to the world of photography.
Pennie Reid also started to dive into photography in 2005, when she took the class with Rachel. She is also working to achieve professional status through the New York Institute of Photography, and assists in every photo shoot, and more. By trade, Pennie is a cosmetologist and owns her own hair salon, bringing to the studio the professionalism required to make you look your best for your photographs. She hopes to be able to occupy more of her time with Photography in the coming years.
